About the Author

Rodney Lisenby, MBA, CEO of The Taxman & Associates, LLC, Former IRS Revenue Officer.

Rodney spent the early part of his career with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Officer, gaining an insider's understanding of how audits are conducted and how the IRS evaluates compliance. For the past three decades he has built a firm dedicated to helping individuals and business owners use the tax code the way it was written: as a roadmap, not a trap. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with honors from Winston-Salem State University, where he also competed as a scholar-athlete on the football team, and a master's degree from Webster University. Over more than 30 years in practice, he has helped thousands of clients save tens of thousands of dollars in taxes through preparation, planning, IRS representation, and business consulting.
